FRP Provincial Standards of Practice 2015 - Second Edition

The FRP Office has developed and released the first three Modules of the four Modules that make up the 2nd Edition of the Provincial Standards of Practice.

  • Module 1 - Family Centred Practices
  • Module 2 - Program Planning & Delivery
  • Module 3 - Community Partnerships & Collaboration
  • Module 4 - Governance & Administration

Family Resource Programs (FRPs) should aspire to high quality, comprehensive, accessible, community-based programs that comply with province-wide standards of excellence and respond to the changing needs of families with young children. The development of the FRP Standards of Practice Manual and implementation of these Standards by Family Resource Programs will both inform and regulate the sector.

There are 25 agencies presently participating in the certification process.  The deadline for submission of all four Modules is Family Day 2017; February 13th.

Each year FRP-BC will invite up to 30 members to participate in the submission and/or renewal of the Provincial Standards of Practice. The next intake for new agencies to participate in the Provincial Standards of Practice is Fall 2016.
