in partnership with the BC Association of Family Resource Programs,
is pleased to offer the Family Resource Program Certificate
Certificate Overview
This 12-day, (8 course / 6 credit) Family Resource Program Certificate is experiential and cognitive, competency-based training for workers who support and assist parents of young children in dealing with a wide range of challenges including child development, economic stress, adaptation to a new country and culture, separation and divorce, family violence, or mental health issues.
You will complete a unique offering of courses that will increase your ability to address family functioning and assist parents or caregivers with their children’s social, cognitive, emotional and physical development.
Application Deadline is August 20, 2010
The FRP Certificate is currently available at no cost to eligible employees working in Family Resource Programs (FRP), however seats are limited. Please note, subsidies do not cover application fees, travel or accommodation expenses. Course 1 starts October 20th!
Please submitt your completed application form, along with your resume and a work letter of reference to the Justice Institute by August 20. For course outline and details on how to apply click on the following links:

Congratulations to the Graduates of the 2009 Pilot Delivery of the FRP Certificate
The convocation ceremony for graduates of course offerings through the Justice Institute for 2009 was held on June 22nd. Of the 23 students who participated in and successfully completed the FRP Certificate pilot course offering, 11 were able to attend the convocation ceremony. The additional
12 students have received their FRP Certificate by mail.
