West Side Family Place

West Side Family Place offers a friendly, safe and stimulating playroom and play yard for families with young children to meet, connect and play together. Qualified staff, specialized in the interests and challenges of families with children between 0-6 years, offer programs that promote parenting confidence, enhance children’s development and build community. Staff and volunteers come from a variety of cultural backgrounds and speak a variety of languages in order to best serve our diverse cultural and socio-economic community.

Other programs include, Nobody’s Perfect, Circle of Sharing parent support program, Parent-Child Mother Goose and a variety of parent education workshops.

Resource information and referral, book and toy libraries, weekly nutritionist visits, community health visits, clothing exchange, and direct family support is also available.

West Side Family Place is situated in the heart of Kitsilano at MacDonald and West 11th Avenue with an outreach program at Jericho Military Base.
