Family Resource Programs
Frog Hollow Family Resource
Frog Hollow Family Resource Programs runs a Drop-in for families with children from birth to 6 years of age (Monday to Thursday mornings from 9:30 to noon). Parents/Caregivers and the children can meet and interact with other families, play with educational and age appropriate toys, engage in arts and crafts activities, learn songs and rhymes and listen to stories at circle time and enjoy a hot, nutritious and delicious lunch.
Staff is available to share information about parenting, child development, community resources and to provide a friendly ear and a welcoming smile. The community health nurse visits on a regular basis to answer questions about health and nutrition and also to help parents to access referral services and extra support should their children need it. As the staff get to know the needs and requests of the family, other family programs are initiated. We currently run 20 family programs out of the Frog Hollow site and have outreach programs at Dr. AR Lord and Garibaldi Schools.
